“Shadows” is described by Bonobo as “old school, Detroity, Moodymann and Theo Parrish-inspired.”  The video, directed by BWTV, captures the song’s mysterious energy.

“Shadows are reflections of ourselves, our movements, whims, wants and urges. Like memories happening in the present; like scars that leave no mark. They are a creeping measure of passing moments: alive, immediate and fleeting. They stretch and bend to the world around them and they thicken and fade as the days roll on. We wanted to make a video that meditates on these ideas; using found captured and created material to investigate the patterns and visual metaphors that emerge as we experimented with the footage. Using the emotional language of the shadow we began to build sequences and patterns reminiscent of how one might compose a multitrack piece of music. Layers, lots of layers.”  – BWTV

New Album Fragments Out Now

Bonobo’s new album, Fragments, is out now. Born first out of fragments of ideas and experimentation, the album ultimately was fused together in a burst of creativity fuelled by both collaboration and Simon Green’s escape into the wild.

New Single “From You (feat. Joji)” Out Now

Today Bonobo released the final single from his forthcoming album Fragments (out next Friday, January 14th), titled “From You (feat. Joji).” In many ways, the tune is about the dance floor to Bonobo: “I remembered all over again how much I loved crowds and movement and people connecting with each other.” Joji, a quickly rising star seen topping Billboard charts and Spotify playlists alike, adds a beautiful melancholy to the song, creating a sense of release, going with the flow, and freedom.
